Yeah I don't agree that Kotor 2 is better either. Once you reach the freeform period where you can travel between planets freely the game picks up noticeably, so it could just be you got stuck on the early game which can be something of a slog at times. The early game of Kotor 2 is far from spectacular too, so it could just be that you find off-putting.
Kotor 2 is notorious for being rushed and having a lot cut out and missing even with TSLRCM mod (which if you aren't using you should as it greatly enhances the experience) and I'd imagine the romances suffered from this too. However that said the Kotor 2 romances are really shitty and half baked and don't really every go anywhere. It also adds an extra spin on the interactions with Atris since it adds in a new interesting aspect to the relationship between your characters.Īs for romances, the Handmaiden and Visas are your options.
Of the two mutually exclusive companions based on your gender the one you get as a male is far better than the one you get as a female who is basically universally hated for being awful.
